Harvest Bible Chapel in Indy asked me to come and take pictures of their Christmas party at Union Station Downtown Indy. Food, table games, familiar carols rewritten and other fun activities filled the evening.
Allegient Christmas Party
I've worked with
on head shots, architectural spaces and different events. They wanted pictures of their annual Christmas party at the
in Carmel. It was raining when I arrived which made a fantastic night scene of the Palladium.
Habitat for Humanity 25th Anniversary Gala
Habitat of Indianapolis contacted me to cover their 25th anniversary gala. I've worked with them on several other projects this year which they had featured in their printed pieces. It was seriously one of the darkest venues I've photographed. Even with f/2.8 lenses and a Nikon D4 it was a challenge to capture quality light.
Habitat for Humanity. The Journey Home Book
Habitat is in the process of writing a book highlighting the road to home ownership from the eyes of their applicants. I was commissioned to take pictures of the home owners, their living spaces that reflect their personal touch and the context of where they live. All of the home owners where incredibly nice and I had a ton of fun getting to know them as I took their pictures and documented their stories. The Journey Home is also a short documentary created by WFYI.
Cicero United Methodist Church Anniversary Service
Cicero United Methodist Church celebrated a major milestone turning I believe it was 150 years old. They had some of the old church records on display. The hand writing in those ledgers was immaculate! Good thing my hand writing won't be looked at 150 years from today as part of a historical record. I'm afraid all culture depending on my hand writing would be lost forever!
Pastor Byron having a special few minutes with the kids. He also is a Santa during the holiday season. You can imagine that white beard coming in handy for that! We now know what Santa does in his spare time, pastors a United Methodist Church in Cicero! You can check out his site at
Ledgers that were over 100 years old!
My buddy dan is the media man so a contextual portrait was in order. It was a quick one so I bounced my flash off the wall behind me and to the left. I'm a fan of bounced light because it takes on the characteristics of the room. Light is almost never as it comes out of the flash but when you bounce the light it takes on the tone of the room and the image looks more believable.
